• 1988

  

  Robert Freeman, Jerry Newby, and Bob Prigmore officially opened Fenix Heating and Cooling in 1988 in Wichita at 1970 West St.

• 1990

  

  Fenix became a Lennox dealer, dropping York and Amana, the two other brands it had historically carried. This move has allowed the Fenix team to gain decades of experience and heating and cooling training specific to Lennox systems, while still offering expert service and repair on all brands of HVAC products.

• 1993

  

  The company moved to its current Second Street location in 1993. Freeman Newby, and Prigmore held a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate!

• 1994

  

  Now-owner Cory Curl began his career in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry.

• 2000

  

  Now-owner Luke Parthemer began his work in the industry as a technician.

• 2003

  

  Cory Curl joined the Fenix Heating and Cooling Team in the sales department.

• 2005

  

  Luke became a part of the Fenix Heating and Cooling family, joining the sales department. Jeff Becker also came to Fenix in 2005, as the service manager.

• 2009

  

  Longtime employees, Cory Curl and Luke Parthemer, purchased the half of the business, along with Jeff Becker, who had more than 40 years of experience in the heating and cooling industry. His family owned Becker Bros. Heating and Cooling in Garden Plain, so Jeff had been involved with HVAC since he started sweeping floors at the family business in 1972. Because he grew up in a rural, Kansas town, Becker brought the hard work, integrity, and hospitality for which small towns are known right here to Wichita!

• 2015

  

  Grady becomes an integral part of Fenix Heating and Cooling, joining the team’s New Home Construction department.

• 2017

  

  Cory, Luke, and Jeff purchased the second half on January 1, 2017, to fully own Fenix Heating and Cooling, which they’d been running since the initial purchase in 2009.
